According to authorities, Wright’s motorcycle veered off the road to the right, mounted the sidewalk, and collided with a light pole before coming to a stop back on the roadway.

The impact caused one vehicle to catch fire and the other to overturn, leaving both cars severely damaged. Tragically, all four individuals involved in the crash were killed.

 

A witness, Kristina McDougle, shared her experience driving past the aftermath of the crash, expressing gratitude for a last-minute stop that may have saved her life. “It breaks my whole entire heart,” she said. “It’s almost Christmas, and people are losing their families.”

 

Authorities are continuing their investigation and working to confirm the identities of the other two victims.

The driver involved remained at the scene and was uninjured. Honolulu police stated that speed, drugs, and alcohol do not appear to have contributed to the crash.

When Gibson exited his vehicle, he was reportedly armed. Officers, perceiving a threat, discharged their weapons. Gibson was taken to a hospital but was pronounced dead at 8:08 a.m.

 

No one else was injured during the incident. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is conducting an investigation, with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office handling the crime scene inquiry.

The incident has been ruled accidental by Coroner Daniel A. Buglio.
