Lastly, a 44-year-old woman was found dead in Summit Lake late Sunday night, with officers responding to reports of an emergency in the 300 block of East South Street. They performed CPR on her, but she was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after. According to a GoFundMe campaign set up to support his family, Smith-Price was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and had a passion for football, playing for his high school team. He was also dedicated to animal welfare, volunteering numerous hours at the Second Chance Strays Cat Rescue and Lounge, where he assisted with various tasks while always wearing a smile.

 

In addition to his work with the rescue, Smith-Price participated in youth baseball with the East End Youth Baseball League and played for the Burgmeier team. In response to the tragic loss of Smith-Price and another student, the school district is providing grief counseling and support services for students and staff.
