The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has completed its on-site work, but forensic teams continue to analyze data. A preliminary NTSB report is expected in approximately one month.

According to the Killeen Police Department, the incident occurred when a stolen Jeep, being pursued by officers, collided with Rolston’s vehicle near the First National Bank of Texas at the intersection of Trimmier Road and Grandon Drive.
The pursuit began around 11:53 a.m. when an officer spotted a gray Jeep that had been reported stolen. When the officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the driver of the Jeep refused to comply and sped south on Trimmier Road.
As the chase continued, the Jeep veered into the northbound lane, slamming into Rolston’s silver sedan. The impact caused the sedan to collide with a black pickup truck, which subsequently overturned.
Emergency responders pronounced Rolston dead at the scene.
Two suspects, aged 14 and 15, fled from the Jeep but were quickly apprehended by police. A third suspect, also 15, was later identified. Due to their ages, authorities have not released their names.
Killeen PD is requesting that anyone who may have captured photos or videos of the crash submit them to assist in the investigation.

The shooting took place around 4 a.m. at the Yazoo Estates Apartment Complex. Police Chief Terry Gann stated that Jackson and two others were driving into the complex when gunfire erupted. More than a dozen shots were fired at their vehicle in what authorities believe was an ambush.
“This appears to have been a targeted attack,†Chief Gann explained. “As they entered the apartment complex, someone opened fire from behind one of the buildings.â€
Investigators are still searching for a motive and the individuals responsible. Police have identified multiple persons of interest and are working to gather more evidence to determine what led to the attack.
Chief Gann emphasized the senseless nature of the killing, stating, “Taking someone’s life like this is tragic. He was someone’s son, possibly a brother, and even some of our officers knew him as a friend.â€
Jackson, who was driving the vehicle at the time, was the only victim hit. The two other passengers emerged uninjured.
