Sadly, an 8-year-old girl succumbed to her injuries, while a 6-year-old girl remains in the hospital.

Officials believe that excessive speed played a role in the accident.

Troy Garlock’s sister-in-law, Tiffany Garlock, shared that he was a devoted father and stepfather who loved spending time with his children. He had recently visited some of them in Utah to watch their sports activities and enjoyed building obstacle courses for them. The family had just begun constructing their dream home in Heber, where they had recently acquired land and farm animals.

Elsie, the young girl who passed away, was described as a lively and talented dancer who was full of energy and joy.
