John B. Briscoe, a 61-year-old resident of Oxford, Mississippi, lost his life in a collision with a tractor-trailer on Sunday morning.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol reported that the tragic accident occurred shortly before 8 a.m. on Highway 6 in Lafayette County.
According to authorities, the westbound Peterbilt truck, driven by Chad Holcomb, 41, of New Albany, collided with Briscoe’s Chevy Silverado. Unfortunately, Briscoe was declared dead at the scene.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the incident.

As the driver turned on a slope, the tube was thrown into a large boulder. Jack was pronounced dead shortly after being transported to Decatur Memorial Hospital.
The other boy, whose name has not been released, remains in critical condition at a trauma center in Springfield. Both children were students at Mt. Zion Intermediate School. The investigation is ongoing.

Following the initial crash, two passengers, including Scott, exited the vehicle and were standing on the freeway when they were struck by a silver Ford SUV. Scott was pronounced dead at the scene, while another passenger was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the Infiniti, suspected of being impaired, is facing pending charges. The driver of the Ford SUV is not facing charges.

He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after the 12:42 p.m. incident. Police have not identified any suspects, and there is no indication that speed, alcohol, or drugs played a role in the crash.

Coiner was driving a 2005 Jeep Liberty when it was rear-ended by a 2014 Toyota Tundra, driven by a 38-year-old Norco man.
The impact pushed her vehicle into oncoming traffic, where it collided head-on with another vehicle. Coiner was rushed to the hospital but died from her injuries. The Norco man was arrested on suspicion of DUI and booked into jail.

His family expressed gratitude for the community’s support during the search, calling the recovery of his body a step toward closure.
