Fatal Wisconsin plane crash death of Sean Tommervik and James G. Sullivan – Obituary

In a tragic incident, Sean Tommervik, 37, from Philadelphia, and James G. Sullivan, 32, from Brooklyn, have been identified as the victims of a deadly plane crash in eastern Wisconsin. The wreckage, discovered on Monday in a farm field, revealed the bodies of the two men, according to a release from the Winnebago County sheriff’s office.

Though the official confirmation from the medical examiner is pending, initial investigations suggest the victims were Tommervik and Sullivan. They were the sole occupants of the Lancair Super ES, a plane owned by Tommervik. The aircraft was found completely ablaze in a field near the town of Nekimi.

The crash occurred approximately 2 miles south of the EAA AirVenture air show site at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh. The AirVenture event, marking its 71st year, commenced on Monday and features a range of activities, including military aircraft demonstrations and discussions with combat pilots, aircraft designers, and NASA astronauts, as reported by the Oshkosh Northwestern. The National Transportation Safety Board is currently investigating the cause of the crash.
