On Friday, the City of Oak Ridge reported that William F. Alldis, a Blount County resident, passed away Thursday night in a single-vehicle accident in Oak Ridge.
The Oak Ridge Police Department was alerted about a driver behaving erratically on Lafayette Drive around 8:51 p.m. The subsequent crash was reported just minutes later at 8:53 p.m. Officers arrived at the scene by approximately 8:55 p.m. and attempted life-saving measures on Alldis, who was identified as a 34-year-old from Louisville, Tennessee.
Despite their efforts, Alldis could not be revived and was declared deceased at the scene. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and further details have not been disclosed by the Oak Ridge Police Department.
