Fatal Queens Village car crash death of Wayne Noel – Obituary
Wayne Noel, a 64-year-old resident of Queens, died in a violent car crash while trying to evade police on Friday, as reported by NYPD officials.
The incident unfolded after police identified his vehicle in connection with the abduction of a 9-year-old girl from a Key Foods grocery store in Queens Village the previous day.
Authorities attempted to stop the vehicle, but Noel sped away and subsequently crashed into an SUV. Witnesses reported hearing a loud collision at the intersection.
According to one observer, “The officers were shouting ‘show me your hands’ and tried to remove him from the vehicle.”
Surveillance footage showed the silver Honda Civic running through the intersection before colliding with the SUV, with police arriving moments later.
Noel was transported to New York Presbyterian Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
