Darrin Dockstader dies in fatal Franklin County motorcycle crash
Fatal Franklin County motorcycle crash claims the life of Darrin Dockstader – Obituary
Darrin Dockstader, 56, of Soda Springs, was identified as the victim in a tragic motorcycle accident in Franklin County. The crash took place on Wednesday at around 10 a.m. at the intersection of State Highway 34 and East Thatcher Road.
According to Idaho State Police, an 82-year-old man from Thatcher was driving a 1992 Chevy pickup northbound when he attempted to make a left turn onto Thatcher Road, failing to yield to Dockstader, who was traveling southbound on his 2011 Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Dockstader’s motorcycle collided with the truck, leading to fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Dockstader’s passenger, a 46-year-old woman from Soda Springs, suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to a nearby hospital. Authorities have not released any details regarding the condition of the truck’s driver. The investigation into the crash is ongoing by Idaho State Police.
