Marquise Jermaine Witherspoon dies in fatal Fairfield, Alabama shooting
Fatal Fairfield shooting death of Marquise Jermaine Witherspoon – Obituary.
A teenaged boy was fatally shot in Fairfield late Monday night. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 17-year-old Marquise Jermaine Witherspoon, a resident of Bessemer.
The shooting took place around 10:38 p.m. in the 300 block of 67th Street. Witherspoon was rushed to UAB Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:21 p.m., according to Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation, though no further details have been released.
