Fatal Tucson shooting death of Minhaj Jamshidi – Obituary
Minhaj Jamshidi was tragically shot and killed late Sunday night, September 22, on the University of Arizona campus. The University of Arizona Police Department (UAPD) has identified the suspect in the shooting as 20-year-old Ryan Romero-Encinas. According to authorities, the fatal incident occurred following a dispute at the sand volleyball courts.
Romero-Encinas, who is described as 6 feet tall, weighing 175 pounds, with curly brown hair and hazel eyes, also has a tattoo reading “Nicole” on his right forearm. Despite search warrants being executed at two off-campus locations, the suspect remains at large. An arrest warrant has been issued, and the UAPD is receiving assistance from both the FBI and U.S. Marshals Service in the search.
