Fatal Bonney Lake shooting death of Adam Lindsay – Obituary.

Two men from Pierce County, Adam Lindsay, 46, of Sumner, and John Beers-Ferguson, 36, of Bonney Lake, have been identified as the victims of a recent shootout involving two trucks in Bonney Lake. Lindsay succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds on September 15 near the intersection of Rhodes Lake Road East and Falling Water Boulevard East, as reported by the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Beers-Ferguson was also fatally injured, suffering a gunshot wound to the torso, with both deaths classified as homicides. The incident reportedly began around 6:50 a.m. when individuals in a white pickup truck allegedly stole a trailer from the Prairie Ridge area. A gold-colored truck pursued the white vehicle, leading to a collision at the aforementioned intersection.

According to Pierce County Sheriff’s Department Sergeant Darren Moss, gunfire likely exchanged between the two vehicles during the chase and at the crash site. Responding deputies and officers from nearby jurisdictions discovered a severely injured man in the back seat of the white truck and a deceased individual on the ground. The injured man later died at a local hospital.

Moss indicated that the deceased individual is believed to be the driver of the gold truck. Authorities apprehended a male passenger from that vehicle on 193rd Avenue East, who was booked into the Pierce County Jail on suspicion of two counts of first-degree assault. He has since been released, with no charges filed against him while the investigation continues.

A female passenger in the white truck fled the scene but was later located by police on a trail behind Victor Falls Elementary School. No charges have been brought against her.

The Pierce County Prosecutor’s Office is collaborating with the Sheriff’s Department as they investigate the case further. Authorities are currently searching for another male suspect thought to be the driver of the white truck, who reportedly fled the scene and may have sustained gunshot injuries.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
