The Napa County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identities of the victims involved in a deadly double shooting that took place on Thursday. Georgina Padilla, 38, of Napa, and Ralph Andino III, 54, from American Canyon, were tragically killed in this incident. The alleged shooter, Baltazar Rangel Juarez, 28, reportedly shot himself during a standoff with law enforcement but survived and is currently receiving medical treatment, according to the Napa County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident was reported around 9:45 a.m. in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue, where officers discovered the two victims outside a residence with gunshot wounds. Despite immediate life-saving efforts from police and medical personnel, both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities were able to identify the suspect within hours. At approximately 1:30 p.m., Juarez was seen driving near the intersection of Juarez and Second streets in Napa. When officers attempted to stop his vehicle, he fled and drove into Kennedy Park, where his car eventually became disabled. Following this, Napa police and the sheriff’s department arrived on the scene, but the armed suspect refused to comply with orders and ended up shooting himself.
