Fatal Santa Cruz shooting death of Brian Phillip – Obituary
Brian Phillip has been identified as the victim of a shooting incident in Santa Cruz that occurred on Sunday evening. The attack, which left one man dead and two others injured, was reported around 5:35 a.m. in Cantaro Village, near Choonkies Supermarket. Upon arrival, police discovered a black Suzuki Ciaz with multiple bullet holes and blood on the front seats. Local residents informed officers that the three men in the vehicle were taken to a hospital by villagers. Sadly, Phillip succumbed to his injuries around 12:45 a.m. on Monday, while the other two victims remain in stable condition. Investigators later found a grey Nissan Tiida, believed to be the getaway car used by the shooters, idling on Santa Lucia Boulevard, along with several spent shell casings. Region II homicide detectives are actively investigating the incident.
