Fatal Solomon vehicle collision death of Matthew Beard and Jose Luis Perez Jr. – Obituary
Matthew Beard, 48, of Safford, and Jose Luis Perez Jr., 49, of Duncan, tragically lost their lives in a three-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 70 near Solomon on Monday. The incident occurred just before 6 a.m. when Beard, driving a Ford Crown Victoria, collided with a trailer being towed by a farm tractor.
Following the initial crash, both Beard and his female passenger exited the vehicle. Unfortunately, they were then struck by a Chevy Tahoe driven by Perez. Both men died at the scene, while Beard’s female passenger was reported to be in critical condition. The driver of the tractor was unharmed. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
