Fatal Laurinburg shooting death of Kevonte McBryde – Obituary.
A shooting incident in Laurinburg on Saturday has resulted in the death of a teenager and left another injured. The Laurinburg Police Department responded to reports of a gunshot victim at the Greenfield Apartments in the evening. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 17-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim, identified as Kevonte McBryde from Laurinburg, was transported to a local hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. In addition, authorities located a second victim, a 15-year-old, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Another 15-year-old, who was unharmed, had left the hospital before police could arrive. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Laurinburg Police Department at 910-276-3211. Updates will follow as the situation develops.
