Authorities have identified a pregnant woman who was shot and killed outside a Wawa in Collingdale, Pennsylvania, on Saturday evening. The incident occurred shortly before 7:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the store located on the 900 block of McDade Boulevard.
When police arrived in response to reports of gunfire, they found 32-year-old Latoya Davis suffering from a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead shortly after. Investigators later revealed that another woman, 30-year-old Evelena Williams, was present at the scene.
Williams admitted to the police that she was the one who shot Davis, stating that she was licensed to carry a firearm. She reportedly fired one shot at Davis as the victim was attempting to flee the scene. A firearm was later discovered in Williams’ vehicle.
Surveillance footage from the Wawa reportedly captured the moment Williams shot Davis. Authorities have not yet disclosed the reason behind the confrontation or whether Williams will face charges related to the incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact local police.
