Fatal Montgomery County car crash death of Matthew Wayne Creed – Obituary
On the evening of October 5, 2024, a head-on collision occurred on U.S. Highway 169, approximately 5.5 miles south of U.S. Highway 400 in Montgomery County, Kansas. Matthew Wayne Creed, 33, of Parsons, Kansas, was driving northbound when his vehicle crossed the center line into the southbound lane. Both Creed and the driver of the southbound vehicle, a Freightliner, attempted evasive maneuvers onto the northbound shoulder, but the vehicles collided head-on.
Creed, who was driving a 2008 Toyota Scion, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was taken to Frontier Forensics for further investigation. Creed was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The driver of the second vehicle, Lumomba Kwabene Idlette, a 52-year-old from Fort Myers, Florida, was not injured in the accident. Authorities have notified Creed’s next of kin, and the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
