Fatal Cincinnati shooting and car crash claims the life of Bennie Byrd – Obituary
Cincinnati police have identified 40-year-old Bennie Byrd as the victim found dead after a shooting and car crash on Sunday night. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. on Winton Road at North Bend Road near the College Hill area, close to the Cincinnati and Springfield Township border.
Byrd was inside a vehicle that was shot at before colliding with another car at the intersection. His vehicle continued moving, eventually crashing in front of a beauty supply store. Emergency personnel from Springfield Township arrived and pronounced Byrd dead at the scene.
The Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating the incident, and an alert has been issued for a white Ford Explorer that may be linked to the shooting. Winton Road was closed early Monday as authorities responded to the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
