Fatal Omaha hit-and-run death of Julio Estrada – Obituary
Julio Estrada, a 41-year-old man, was identified as the victim of a hit-and-run incident that occurred on October 15 near Riverfront and Abbott Drives in Omaha, Nebraska. Officers arriving at the scene found Estrada with severe injuries, and he was transported to the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
Authorities report that Estrada was in the right eastbound lane of Abbott Drive when an unidentified vehicle struck him before fleeing the scene. Omaha police have since identified the vehicle as a blue 2005 Pontiac Vibe driven by Christopher Renteria-Avila, who was subsequently arrested for leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
