Fatal Stowe Township shooting death of Carlo Stanford – Obituary

In Stowe Township, Pennsylvania, 39-year-old Carlo Stanford was tragically killed in a shooting early Sunday morning, with Allegheny County officials charging 34-year-old Curtis Horne-Baker in connection with his death. The incident took place just after 4:30 a.m. in a residence on the 40 block of McKinnie Avenue.

According to the criminal complaint, police responded to a report of a man with multiple gunshot wounds. Upon arrival, they found the door of the home forced open and Stanford lying on the floor, where he was pronounced dead. A witness present at the scene reported that both they and Stanford heard a noise from inside the house. When they went to check, they discovered Horne-Baker hiding on the porch. As they attempted to lock the door, Horne-Baker allegedly kicked it in and fired seven to eight shots at Stanford.

Authorities later located Horne-Baker in Wilkinsburg, arresting him just before 4 p.m. that same day. He now faces multiple charges, including criminal homicide and burglary.
