Edgar Gonzalez, a 55-year-old man from Los Angeles, was killed in an ATV crash at the El Mirage Off-Highway Vehicle Area on November 1, 2024. The crash occurred near Bella Vista Drive and Mountain View Road at approximately 11 p.m., although it was not discovered until the following morning when a Search and Rescue team found the wreckage. Gonzalez was riding a 2005 Yamaha YFM660 on the dry lakebed when the ATV crashed into a raised dirt mound, causing it to overturn. He was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and authorities are seeking witnesses or anyone with information.
