Fatal Monroe County DUI crash death of Rebecca Martin – Obituary

Rebecca Martin, 47, of Phillipsburg, New Jersey, tragically lost her life in a crash on Saturday night in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County. Pennsylvania State Police responded to the crash around 10:46 p.m. on Route 209, where the driver, traveling at high speed, veered off the road and struck a utility pole. The driver, who was under the influence, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Lehigh Valley Pocono Hospital. Martin, the passenger in the vehicle, was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is ongoing, with an autopsy scheduled for November 12.
