Fatal Glassport shooting death of James Macke Jr. – Obituary
James Macke Jr., 18, was found deceased at the scene of a shooting on the 500 block of Monongahela Avenue in Glassport, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, November 17, 2024, just before 3 p.m. Allegheny County police responded to the scene and discovered Macke with gunshot wounds.
Witnesses reported seeing a suspect board a Pittsburgh Regional Transit bus, where the suspect, 17-year-old James Martin, was later detained by Clairton police. Martin faces charges of criminal homicide and firearm violations and is being charged as an adult. Police believe the shooting occurred after a confrontation between Macke and two men.
