Fatal Colorado Springs motorcycle crash death of Dominic Gatlin – Obituary
The El Paso County Coroner’s Office has identified 19-year-old Dominic Gatlin as the motorcyclist who was killed in a collision near Broadmoor World Arena on Christmas Eve. The tragic accident occurred on Tuesday morning, Dec. 24, around 9 a.m., at the intersection of Cheyenne Meadows Road and Venetucci Boulevard.
When officers from the Colorado Springs Police Department arrived, they found Gatlin deceased at the scene. The driver of the car involved in the crash was unharmed.
Due to the severity of the incident, the Major Crash Team was called to investigate. Preliminary findings suggest that speed may have played a significant role in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
This fatality marks the 47th traffic-related death in Colorado Springs in 2024.
