Fatal Compton shooting death of Matthew Alvarado – Obituary
Matthew Alvarado, a 19-year-old from Bell Gardens, was found shot to death inside a vehicle in Compton late Tuesday night.
Deputies responded to the 2200 block of E. Rosecrans Avenue around 10:20 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered Alvarado in the driver’s seat with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released any details regarding a suspect or potential motive. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau is investigating the case and urges anyone with information to call (323) 890-5500.
