Mason Sheets dies in fatal Fulton shooting

Fatal Fulton shooting death of Mason Sheets – Obituary

Mason Sheets, 17, was found dead from a gunshot wound on January 19 in Fulton, according to local authorities.

Investigators have identified multiple juveniles as persons of interest in the case. These individuals are not from the Fulton area, and law enforcement agencies across mid-Missouri are actively searching for them.

Sheets, a student at Fulton Public Schools, had aspirations of becoming a firefighter and was enrolled in a firefighter training program through his school. His body was discovered inside a disabled vehicle.

Last week, authorities sought a maroon 2022 Jeep Compass Sport believed to be connected to the homicide. The vehicle was later found burned in northern Boone County.

Police previously took a juvenile female into custody who was reportedly present at the scene, though her status has not been disclosed due to her age.

Officials continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the case, and the Fulton community remains committed to seeking justice for Sheets.

A GoFundMe has been established to support his family.
