Fatal Liverpool Township murder-suicide death of Eric Mills – Obituary
Authorities have identified the two individuals who lost their lives in a suspected murder-suicide in Liverpool Township last week. The Columbiana County Coroner confirmed that the deceased were 48-year-old Eric Mills and 61-year-old Lorie Klie.
Police were called to the 1100 block of Parkwood Drive just after 12:30 a.m. on Friday, February 28, following a 911 hang-up. A woman had contacted authorities earlier, reporting that her husband was destroying property inside their residence and that she wanted him removed.
When officers arrived, they knocked on the door but received no response. Upon discovering that the door was unlocked, they entered the home, where they found both Mills and Klie deceased from gunshot wounds.
Preliminary findings indicate that the incident was a murder-suicide, though the investigation remains ongoing.
