Fatal Burton Latimer house death of Isobella Knight

Isobella Knight, also known as Izzy, was found dead inside a home on Donnington Road in Burton Latimer, Northamptonshire, on Friday afternoon, according to police reports.

Officers were alerted after a man was involved in a vehicle crash at a McDonald’s located on Folley Way. Upon investigation, authorities discovered Knight’s body at the residence linked to the man.

A preliminary post-mortem conducted at Leicester Royal Infirmary determined that Knight’s cause of death was due to pressure applied to her neck. She was officially identified on Monday.

A 35-year-old man, Paul Knight of Donnington Road, was arrested the same day and appeared in Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Monday charged with her murder. He was remanded in custody and is set to appear next at Northampton Crown Court on Wednesday.

Knight was described by police as a cherished daughter, sister, and mother whose loss has left her family devastated. Specially trained officers are providing ongoing support to her loved ones.

Detective Inspector Torie Harrison from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit expressed condolences to the victim’s family and reaffirmed the team’s commitment to finding answers and achieving justice for Izzy.

Police are urging anyone with potentially helpful footage—such as CCTV, doorbell recordings, or dash-cam video—to contact Northamptonshire Police or report anonymously through Crimestoppers.
