Malike Williams dies in fatal Birmingham shooting
Fatal Birmingham shooting death of Malike Williams – Obituary.
The Birmingham Police Department is looking into a deadly shooting that occurred at a convenience store in the West End on Tuesday evening. According to public information officer Truman Fitzgerald, calls reporting the incident came in shortly after 5 p.m. at the Big Boy Convenience Store located off Pearson Avenue Southwest.
When officers arrived, they discovered an adult male who had been shot and was lying in front of the store. He was quickly transported to UAB Hospital by the Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service, but was pronounced dead while on the way.
Investigators believe a confrontation between two men inside the store escalated, resulting in the suspect shooting the victim multiple times. Fitzgerald noted that the police are currently searching for more than one individual connected to the incident.
