Robert George Roberts, a 68-year-old resident of Chandler, Arizona, was tragically killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 South near Parham Road early Monday morning. The accident occurred around 3 a.m., when Roberts’ 2020 black Cadillac XT6 veered off the roadway, struck a ditch, went airborne, and hit trees on the driver’s side.
Emergency services arrived promptly and extricated Roberts from the vehicle. He was transported to VCU Medical Center but succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter. Police have indicated that speed and alcohol are believed to be contributing factors in this incident, which remains under investigation.
