Dianna Faye Slavens dies in fatal Jackson County car crash

Fatal Jackson County car crash death of Dianna Faye Slavens – Obituary

On October 5, 2024, a tragic accident occurred on U.S. Highway 75, approximately three miles south of Holton, Kansas. Dianna Faye Slavens, 77, of Topeka, Kansas, was involved in a fatal crash when her vehicle failed to yield while entering U75 from a private driveway. Her Honda CR-V was struck broadside by a northbound Toyota Rav4.

 

Slavens, who was wearing a seatbelt, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. She was transported to the Shawnee County Coroner’s Office. The crash was classified as a hit-and-run incident, though no police pursuit was involved.

 

Alva E. Goff Jr., an 89-year-old passenger in Slavens’ vehicle, was seriously injured and taken to Holton Community Hospital for treatment. The driver of the second vehicle, Jamie Lynn Wells, 38, also suffered serious injuries and was transported to the same hospital.

 

Authorities have notified Slavens’ next of kin, and the investigation continues.
