Fatal north Minneapolis car crash deaths of Esther Fulks and Rose Reece – Obituary
Esther Jean Fulks, 53, and Rose Elaine Reece, 57, both of Minneapolis, lost their lives in a tragic two-vehicle crash in north Minneapolis on Monday, December 16.
The collision occurred around 10:20 a.m. when a vehicle traveling north on Emerson Avenue North struck a car heading east on 26th Avenue North. The impact forced the eastbound car into a bus shelter. Fulks was pronounced dead at the scene, while Reece was transported to North Memorial Healthcare Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. Both women died from multiple blunt force injuries.
The crash also left a man and woman from the northbound vehicle with life-threatening injuries. Additionally, a 17-year-old boy waiting at the bus shelter sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Minneapolis police reported that the driver of the northbound vehicle, a 38-year-old woman, was arrested after being discharged from the hospital. She is currently held in Hennepin County Jail on probable cause for criminal vehicular homicide, though formal charges have not yet been filed.
