Fatal Bladen County car crash death of Jonathan Lee Williams and Ricky Cortez Ellison Jr.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol reported a serious accident on Rosindale Road in Bladen County on Saturday evening. The incident occurred at approximately 11:41 p.m. on October 25th.
NCSHP described the vehicle collision, stating the car was heading north on Rosindale Road. The driver lost control and crossed the center line, veering off the road to the right. This initial loss of control led to a subsequent overcorrection, causing the vehicle to leave the road to the left and enter a ditch.
According to the highway patrol, neither the driver nor the passenger was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Following the impact, both occupants were thrown from the vehicle.
The driver is identified as Jonathan Lee Williams. Tragically, Williams was pronounced deceased at the scene. One of the passengers, identified as Ricky Cortez Ellison Jr., was transported to the hospital. Despite medical intervention, Ellison later succumbed to his injuries.
The ongoing investigation continues to determine the full circumstances surrounding the fatal accident on Rosindale Road.
