Julian Shaun O’Donoghue dies in fatal Rancho Cordova car crash
Fatal Rancho Cordova car crash death of Julian Shaun O’Donoghue – Obituary.
Julian Shaun O’Donoghue, a 20-year-old resident of El Dorado Hills, lost his life in a head-on collision on Thanksgiving morning in Rancho Cordova. The crash, which occurred along Grant Line Road near Chrysanthy Boulevard, also left two others with serious injuries.
According to authorities, one vehicle reportedly veered into the opposite lane, leading to the collision between a sedan and a van. O’Donoghue was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators have not yet determined if alcohol or drugs were factors in the accident.
The Rancho Cordova Police Department’s traffic unit is managing the ongoing investigation. Roads in the area were closed for approximately six hours following the incident.
O’Donoghue, a 2022 graduate of Oak Ridge High School where he played football, is remembered for his athletic achievements and community spirit. A GoFundMe campaign has been established to assist his family with expenses during this difficult time.
