Two drivers lost their lives in a tragic collision on Thanksgiving morning on Columbus’ Southeast Side near Pickerington. The Franklin County Coroner’s Office confirmed the victims as 34-year-old Khadime Sow and 37-year-old Cofield Brown.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Gender Road and Abbey Trails Drive. Sow, who was driving a gray Chevrolet Cruze, was pronounced dead at 11:23 a.m. Brown, operating a white Honda Accord, was transported to Mount Carmel East Hospital but succumbed to his injuries at 11:59 a.m.
Authorities reported that Brown was heading south on Gender Road when his vehicle collided with Sow’s car. Additional details about Sow’s direction of travel or other specifics about the crash have not been disclosed. The incident remains under investigation.
