The Charleston County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the man killed in a fatal officer-involved shooting in North Charleston on Friday, Nov. 29. Noland H. Clark, 47, of North Charleston, died at the scene around 3:36 p.m. near Cherokee Street and Navajo Street, according to Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal.
Authorities reported that Clark was allegedly holding a firearm and pointed it at officers when they arrived, prompting them to open fire. This shooting occurred shortly after a similar incident in Charleston, where two officers shot and killed 37-year-old Andrew Reynard Williams on King Street.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is now investigating the circumstances of the incident.
