Daniel Patrick Tripp, a 21-year-old resident of Loyalsock Township, tragically lost his life in a pedestrian accident on Thanksgiving Day. The incident occurred on Interstate 180 West in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, between the Hepburn and Maynard Street exits.
According to Lycoming County Coroner Charles E. Kiessling Jr., Tripp was struck by two vehicles after stepping into the westbound lane of traffic. Authorities believe he was intoxicated at the time. The first vehicle hit Tripp, followed by a second vehicle, resulting in fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at UPMC Williamsport at 2:41 a.m. due to blunt force trauma.
