Lavaughn E. Lewis, a 49-year-old man from Topeka, Kansas, was tragically killed in a shooting on December 3, 2024. Police responded to the scene on the 2000 Block of SW 12th Street just before 5:30 p.m. and found Lewis suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene by medical staff.
