Fatal Franklin County crash death of Erick Keith Custis – Obituary.

Erick Keith Custis, 52, of Charleston, South Carolina, has been identified as the driver who died in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning in Franklin County. The incident occurred at 12:25 a.m. on December 7, at the intersection of Route 220 and Southside Drive.

 

According to Virginia State Police, Custis was driving a 2017 Jeep Liberty south on Route 220 when the vehicle ran off the road, overturned, and struck a tree. Custis, who was wearing his seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have indicated that speed was a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
