Fatal Rockdale shooting death of Christopher Flores – Obituary
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the tragic death of Christopher Flores, who was fatally shot on Saturday night in Rockdale. Police responded to a 7:23 p.m. call reporting shots fired in the 400 block of East 4th Street. There, they found 20-year-old Trevor Everage suffering from gunshot wounds. A second victim, 22-year-old Flores, was located a short distance away in the 200 block of 4th Street. Both men were rushed to the Rockdale Airport for airlifting to Scott & White Medical Center in Temple. Unfortunately, Flores died from his injuries before reaching the hospital.
Authorities believe the shooting was not random, but rather targeted, and it is linked to an attempted robbery. The police have issued arrest warrants for 16-year-old Jonah Flores, who is wanted for capital murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and other related charges. In their efforts to capture the suspect, the Rockdale Police Department is working alongside local and state agencies, including the Milam County Sheriff’s Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety.
