Houston police are searching for multiple suspects involved in the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Jose Rodriguez, a student at Alief Taylor High School.
Rodriguez was reportedly walking near his home on Caddo Lake Lane, close to Devonshire Drive, late at night when a vehicle approached him at an intersection. According to witnesses, Rodriguez exchanged words with the individuals in the car, moving between the passenger and driver sides before gunfire erupted.
Houston Police Department Sergeant Clint Ponder stated that investigators believe three shooters were involved, based on the discovery of numerous shell casings at the scene. A handgun, thought to belong to the victim, was also recovered.
