Kenneth J.H. Dirksen dies in fatal Darke County house fire
Fatal Darke County fire death of Kenneth J.H. Dirksen – Obituary.
The Darke County Sheriff’s Office has identified 84-year-old Kenneth J.H. Dirksen as the man who died in a fire at a family-owned farm on Day Road on Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency crews were dispatched around 1:45 p.m. following reports of a possible explosion and a trapped individual. Upon arrival, fire officials determined there had been no explosion, but instead, a fire in the shop area of the property.
First responders found Dirksen deceased at the scene.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the cause of the fire and Dirksen’s death.
