Fatal Lexington car crash death of Trinity Jones – Obituary

A deadly car accident occurred Thursday morning in Lexington, South Carolina, resulting in the death of 22-year-old Trinity Jones.

 

According to the Lexington Police Department, the crash took place around 7:30 a.m. near South Lake Drive and Interstate 20. Authorities reported that a Toyota exited the interstate at Exit 55 and, upon leaving the ramp, veered into several traffic lanes. It was then struck by an Acura traveling on South Lake Drive.

 

Trinity Jones, a passenger in the Toyota, was taken to a hospital where she later died. Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher confirmed her identity and stated that Jones had not been wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

 

Both drivers involved sustained injuries that were not life-threatening and were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.

 

Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, Attorney General’s Office, Bureau of Protective Services, Lexington County Coroner’s Office, Fire Services, and EMS.

 

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
